Chapter 1- Allowing Myself To Love

I’ve always been a giver , a nurturer . Helping ppl without hesitation. But when it comes to relationships Ive never truly trusted or been in love . I loved with limits , requirements and expectations. If I didn’t receive certain things  I would take away my love and move on . But one day I met someone and I saw something in that person that I don’t think he saw in himself . Something about his touch and his presence soothed and softened me . I fell in love with him , his flaws and his mistakes. The good bad and ugly , I loved him regardless. I never loved this way before, loving with hope and faith that it’s all for a reason. This was my first time in life loving a man with all of me . Maybe God wanted to show me What it was like to give unquestionable love before he blesses me with it . I am true love and I pray that one day I will receive it the same way I give it. To last a life time ❤️

The Need For Computer Skills

This day in age we all carry skills that are needed to maintain our everyday life. We try to master these skills so that we can be better workers, parents, students, and so forth. All though  everyone does not feel the need to acquire a skill, their is one skill that we all should have. Computer literacy is a must, this skill is the number one must have this day in age. Things are changing and we as people have to learn to make necessary changes to our life that will enhance our education and life style. We now have more tools at hand which allows us to handle our everyday life in a more easier and manageable way. I now know that computers are the key.
The world is constantly evolving, and computers are becoming our main source for the future. We use computers for everything, our bills, schooling, your whole  life is soon going to be based upon the use of computers. Lets not ignore these facts, this skill is not at all hard to master. With a few hours put to the side each day, you can easily become computer literate. Your main focus when it comes to learning this skill, is to first learn how to search the web. This will be the main key to doing anything you need to do once your logged on to the computer. Searching the web will allow you to access all the available information we spend all day trying to get the old fashion way. With a skill like this, you are able to take care of a lot of your business that once took forever to obtain in half the time.
Computers are now set up to where any person of any age can learn how to work and master them. I've come to find that in many schools they have started to teach kids as young as three this fundamental skill. More learning programs like reading, math and basic child development programs are now available to the students within the class rooms. Kids are now as educated as adults, if not more educated when it comes to computers. This just shows how easy the learning process can be. In today's modern world I  really appreciate the fact that I chose to acquire this skill. I use computers for almost everything. I'm now enrolled in school, most  of my quizzes are online and it really helps knowing how to work the computer. I now find myself paying my bills on line, and most of my job searches are done online as well. Everything is so much more convenient when done through the computer. Nothing is really traditional anymore. The traditional way of doing things are fading out slowly but surely, so why not get on board, trust me you will not regret having this skill under your belt.

Fashion Addiction

Fashion brands and styles of others, have become my neighborhoods new addiction. People go out of their way to obtain high fashion brands, only to keep up with the next person. What ever happened to having your own sense of style, which allowed you to stand out within the crowd. Fashion now seems to cause so much jealousy and envy. Where I'm from, with out the clothes, you stand not to exist. So lets get back to ourselves before we all become fashion misfits of 2012.
People spend all they have to buy the latest jeans and shoes. I watch kids get neglected because their mom needed those new True Religion jeans. The real truth is, the money she spent was needed at home, as her kids sleep uncomfortably in the cold. She's trying to keep up with her girls because they stay rocking the best gear. It's sad to say that if she doesn't get her priorities together she'll be asking her friends can she move in with them next year. We assume that we gain our attention based upon what clothes we wear, so we buy into fashion and at the same time, loose ourselves.
When I was growing up, I took old clothes and made them new. I would receive compliments and questions from people, asking wear they could find my clothes. It felt good knowing that only from my closet they could be sold. My style was my own and as we grow somehow we allow the world to change our ways. We loose a little bit of our uniqueness along the way. The part of us that gave your friends an idea of what you like to wear, has suddenly vanished in thin air. Fashion controls the neighborhood now and you can barely catch anyone with their own style. This makes me want to start my own clothing line, watching all the crowds look the same as they constantly display the same brand names. People have lost focus on what really matters these days, like  all your hopes and dreams.
There's more to life and you may be missing out if fashion continues to be the only thing you think about. Now as for those who chose fashion as a career, the last statement doesn't apply to you. for those who were lost, I hope soon you can be found. Become the person everyone wants to be, make your name the next brand. Love yourself enough to realize that clothes don't make you, but they will break you.

Mr. Right Is Mr. Wrong

Why is it so easy to fall in love with someone? Then after the beautiful dates and romantic escapades you realize that there's something important missing, the man you've been dreaming about, or is he?
Growing up from little girls into women, we've always dreamed about what our perfect man would be ( Mr. Right). He would be tall, handsome, the perfect gentleman. Perferably a college graduate, six figure income, and a family man. Never did we ever consider that we may find this man and he has all of these traits and much more. This man I'm talking about can sometimes be found carrying a little something extra. Something we ladies like to call "baggage ".
The senario: You meet a nice guy, he asks for you're number, a few calls lead to a date and that date leads to another. It turns out he's a real sweetheart, and he's doing everything you like. You're time with him is never interrupted, he leaves kisses on you're forehead as he leaves after long nights. Naughty texts until he can see you again. Wow! This guy is smooth, so smooth he has you feeling like he's the one. The shopping sprees every time he's been away to long, has you telling you're friends that he's a keeper. A few months go by and you decide you want him around permanently. It's now time for "The Talk", you want him to move in. Suddenly you're smooth guy starts to show signs of rejection, a curve ball has been thrown in his game, and it's about to cause him to strike out. But before he strikes out he puts together a plan.
After having "The Talk", you're guy attempts to give you what you wants. So he starts to spend more nights and come around on a day to day basis. In doing this, he will start to slip up on a few things. Remember those uninterrupted dates, it was because he kept his phone on silent. Now he's around so much that he forgets, so constant phone calls start to make you wonder. Noticeably, the calls come more often at night. The sweet kisses turns into wishes, as he slides out of bed early morning trying to go unnoticed. Dates become memories, as you're mate is somewhere else aiming to please. There's another women across town who's being neglected and you're man has to make up to her now. Sitting at home, you wonder where did you go wrong. Thoughts are running across you're mind, you're no longer blinded by his sweetness, now you want the truth; So the hunt begins.
He returns home for the day, exhausted from play and you're just waiting for him to fall asleep. His day must of been nice because his phone was a little too easy to access. You start to search until you find, a number dialed all the time and sorry "Boo" that number don't connect to you. So you decide to call, trying to stay calm as the phone rings, you wonder what should you say. Hello, she picks up. You respond: Why is my man always calling you? With anger in her voice she replies: Who are you and why do you have my husbands phone, sweetie I don't know what he told you but when I see him it's on.....As you listen to every word, tears start to fall from you're eyes. Drowned by her words, you hang up the phone, thinking to yourself how did my Mr. Right become Mr. Wrong.
